Hemorrhoid is a painful rectal ailment, but are rarely harmful. However, there is still a need to get your hemorrhoid checked and treated to avoid complications. Untreated internal and external hemorrhoid may escalate to severe cases such as thrombosed, prolapse and strangulated hemorrhoids (causes tissue death). These cases of hemorrhoid requires invasive medical procedure to remove. 

Other complications resulting from untreated hemorrhoids is anemia or chronic blood loss. This may lead to fatigue and weakness.
